  Virdaq.com Development List

  What We Are Working On

Welcome to Virdaq's Development Page

This page was last updated on: 11/7/2006 3:56:02 PM

This page is intended to show Virdaq users, just what the development team is working on. We are always happy to hear more ideas at admin@virdaq.com. Keep in mind if you share an idea with us, we retain all rights and privileges to modify and implement your idea in any way we wish, for the benefit of all Virdaq users.

  What's New?

  1. Virdaq has received a facelift and general layout re-design. This change should help with site usability and intuitiveness.

  2. Virdaq site design and layout changes implemented to facilitate easier search engine optimization efforts so we can get your listings out there and visible to the major engines.

  3. Virdaq Item Tracking has received a facelift. New charts and figures to help pinpoint the right price at which you should buy, sell, or trade your items.

  What's coming?

  1. An XML gateway to allow users with their own websites to easily populate listings to Virdaq categories. These sales will be tracked by Virdaq, and the seller will be automatically invoiced at the end of the month via Paypal. This will include an easy to follow walkthrough to help your development team make the correct changes to your website.

  2. Virdaq is moving away from the token system. Any outstanding tokens will be converted into a positive balance on the account. All listings will be free, and users will be charged monthly based on their account balance.

  3. Virdaq Users will be able to decide how much they wish to pay to Virdaq.com as commission for a completed sale. The scale with range from 5% to 100%. The higher the percentage, the higher up in the listings the post will appear. In the long run, it's Virdaq's intent to drop the initial figure as low as 1%. With this feature, Virdaq users will no longer have the ability (or need) to feature, bold or advertise their posts.

  4. Virdaq's new posting process is simpler and faster. When introduced it will also give the ability to create mass posts on multiple servers at once. As well, it will give the ability to list more than 1 item at a time, on one or multiple servers.

  5. Is an item you are selling not available? No worries, the Virdaq will introduce the ability to quickly add new items. Users will submit new item requests, which will be checked over by an Admin within 24 hours to make sure it hasn't been added twice, or incorrectly, and activated.

  6. Virdaq posts will no longer expire after a set time period. The ability to enable/disable all posts, posts on certain servers, or even single posts, will be done through the My Account section. As a result, Users can easily remove all their posts while going away for a few days, without having to go through the process of re-listing all their posts.

  7. Inactive Virdaq Users will have their posts disabled if they fail to login to Virdaq for a 30 day period. This is to protect buyers from users who list items and forget about them after a certain amount of time.

  8. Virdaq's new content system called Virdoc will be put into place. Fully integrated into Virdaq, the Virdoc will also have a home at www.virdoc.com for easy access to users.

  9. Virdoc will be a portal to all virtual information that the Admin or Virdaq Users can find. Whether it be links, walkthroughs, guides, or write-ups, the Virdoc will give easy access to any information people are looking to freely share. Virdoc will be a place where users can easily write guides, which they can in turn sell, or list for free through the Virdaq.

  10. A Virdoc guide rating system, to help buyers find which guide is right for them, for both the free and commercial guides.

Known Bugs We are Working to Fix

  1. Adjusting the price in a post charges as if it's a new post, instead of returning tokens for a price decrease. This bug is being addressed in an overhaul of the entire posting process, coming soon.
